Take the backup of your data....?

Take the backup of your data

Last Sunday I was very sad. My first trip of London photographs completely destroyed because of computer hard drive damage. It was like a bad dream for me but unfortunately it is horrible truth when you spend thousands of dollars to take some shots and all the memories destroys just because of hard drive damage.

After happening this incidence i searched a lot how could I save my files so that it can never destroys. Finally i found some solutions. That i can save my files to those servers which are miles away from me. I don’t know personally who they are but they will protect my personal things. It was really a relaxed back chair for me. There are two options to save your files online. One is paid and other one is free.

First we will discuss about paid options.  Which can be avail by high class consumers and middle size businesses to save their data. Two of the popular service providers are carbonite and mozy. Just set it and don’t worry about your data. It’s very easy to install a small software file on your computer and set priority timings and preferred files for save. It will work when once in a day and automatically will take the backup of your important files.

Space is unlimited in $50 per year/computer. mozy is supported by windows and mac and carbonite supports only vista and windows XP.

Apart from these options of paid backup other options are also available like drive.com and box.net. for availing the service from these sites you need not to install any software. Some manual work is there. X drives is offering 5gb of online backup facility but box.net is bounded to one gb.

One more simple option is there to store your data who don’t have internet or have very slow internet connection. They can save their data in cd/dvd/pendrives etc.

So don’t forget to take a backup of your sweet memories or important files before going anything wrong.
